I do not have timidity or it's daemon installed. Finally the only device I was able to get sound from my computer as by connecting usb headphones and they worked without an issue. i also installed a dedicated sound card I hand around and could not get any audio from that either. After the reinstall, I tried installing pulseaudio/pavucontrol to help debugging the issue and I still can't seem to get any audio. Previously to my audio issues I was using i3 wm and alsa to manage the sound. I was getting frustrated so i ended up doing a reinstall of 9.5 to see if it would help and I'm still stuck without sound. I was unsure whether it was the upgrade or spotify, so I spent a few hours trying to figure it out with no luck. Then I decided to update to 9.5 from 9.4 as well as install the spotify client. Yesterday morning everything was working fine. ![]() I've been using debian stable as a daily driver for the past 2-3 months.
